The Brosna Slide: TrailJams Tune of the Week, April 19, 2026

The Brosna Slide is one of the most joyful tunes to come out of Ireland’s Sliabh Luachra region. Sliabh Luachra (or Slieve Logher) is the mountainous region in Ireland that straddles the county boundaries of Cork, Kerry, and Limerick. The Brosna Slide takes its name from the village of Brosna, right in the heart of the Sliabh Luachra region, and it has been a staple of Sliabh Luachra sessions for generations.
